The electronic
stethoscope is used to lessen to timber pests deep inside timber.
Termites and most
insects make a lot of noise when they move about as they bump into things with
their exoskeleton much the same as a medieval knight in armor would.
Termites in
particular use sound by taping a code on the walls of their galleries to
communicate a long way threw their workings. This is easily picked up with the
electronic stethoscope.
